Round the World

We are super proud to announce that we will be supporting the local Bury charity. Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice that run Grace’s Place here in Bury, with their “Around the World” Challenge during Children’s Hospice Week (20th – 27th May 2019)

The circumference of the Earth is approximately 24,900 mile, and by teaming up with thousands of children from lots of other nurseries and schools across the area we are aiming to collectively travel “Around the World” in just one week and raise vital funds for Forget Me Not along the way.

Grace’s Place is bringing all the magic of ‘yes’ to children living with life-shortening conditions in North Manchester
Grace’s Place is part of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and is now caring for children and families in the Bury, Rochdale and Oldham areas.

More than 650 children in the North Manchester area are living with life-shortening conditions, but the vast majority haven’t been getting any children’s hospice support at all. Until now, some have been cared for by Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice at Huddersfield. However, we’ve now opened a children’s hospice in Bury, which means:

  • We will be able to care for loads more children and families
  • The families we already look after won’t have to travel so far
  • We will be able to offer North Manchester families so much more.

Hopefully, you will all be able to help and support us raise money through sponsorship because even a small amount raised by each of our children can make a big difference to the lives of local children and families.

Do have a look at their website https://www.forgetmenotchild.co.uk/gracesplace

Good luck to everyone in advance and let’s do our bit to encourage our children to support other local children by going “Around the World”

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
